Management of L&L's intellectual property activities in the United States.
Preparation of patent drafts with the assistance of inventors.
Interaction with patent examiners with the objective of obtaining granted patents with appropriate claim sets.
Education and training of technical staff/inventors on intellectual property matters.
Coordination and management of activity with external patent attorneys.
Tracking of intellectual property related expenditures.
Creation of reports related to intellectual property activity.
Assisting outside patent attorneys in preparation for litigation as necessary.
Internal consultant on intellectual property related matters.
Providing guidance on avoidance of infringement for competitive intellectual property.
Understand and maintain an ongoing knowledge of intellectual property positions and actions of significant competitors to L&L Products.
Patent searches and assisting others with patent searches.
Job Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, polymer science, materials science, or something similar.
Registration as a patent attorney or a patent agent in the United States.
Five years of experience as a registered patent attorney or patent agent.
Ability to understand technology related to L&L's material development activities and be competent, or develop competency, for L&L's mechanical related intellectual property activities.
