Supervisor of Early Childhood Services
Summary:
The Supervisor of Early Childhood Services is responsible for developing, coordinating, administering and supervising fee-supported childcare services for the district.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal policies and procedures; responsible for the completion and maintenance of all required records; ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Develop, coordinate and administer the District's fee-supported early childhood educational programs; Recruit, interview and recommend childcare program staff; Supervise and evaluate childcare staff; Plan and deliver appropriate staff development; Maintain record keeping systems and files for compliance with state statutes; Monitor enrollment to identify staffing needs; Support staff assigned to preschool programs in planning and designing activities to meet the goals of the program and provide resources, supplies and support for such activities; Market childcare program for increased enrollment and expansion; Plan and administer annual program budget; Keep abreast of laws, regulations and policies related to childcare programs; Maintain a uniform system of financial billing, accounting and reporting; Ensure all collective bargaining agreements are appropriately implemented; Assist in the continued enhancement of the district by modeling appropriate behavior for and toward students and staff, and by displaying professional conduct at all times; Keep informed of laws, policies and procedures related to Early Childhood Services; Adheres to, interprets and implements all district policies, administrative guidelines and procedures; Conducts behavior to demonstrate collegiality and professionalism; Keep in confidence student records and information as required under FERPA; HIPPA, etc.
; Mandated reporter for Child Abuse and Neglect; Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the position; Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Academic Services.

Responsibilities:
Supervises and evaluates the work of district staff assigned.
Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
BS/BA in early childhood education or child development Graduate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred Minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory capacity preferred CPR and First Aid Certified or willing and able to successfully obtain the same Valid Michigan Driver License Proven ability to manage personnel and resources and communicate effectively with staff, parents, and community Ability to work collaboratively with administration, staff, students, parents, and members of the community Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Applicants must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check as defined by the State of Michigan.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of records administration and maintenance techniques and procedures; Knowledge of productivity applications such as Microsoft Office (word processing, Google, email, etc.
is required); Skills to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders, both orally and in writing; Skills necessary to integrate and utilize district technology on a daily basis to maintain proficiency, as required skill sets change with technology and or the needs of the district; Skills in the use of computer technology for research, data management, communications and other instruction in a networked environment utilizing the Internet and other electronic communication mechanisms; Ability to set and meet goals evaluated through ongoing and annual Administrator feedback and achievement of objectives and agreed upon professional/personal goals; Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external contacts; Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
TERMS:

The contract, salary and other employment conditions will be mutually agreed upon by the Board of Education.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The ability to travel to other buildings and to training may be required.
The position requires the individual to sometimes work irregular or extended work hours and meet multiple demands from several people.
ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY:
The noise level in the work environment is quiet to loud depending upon the activity in the particular part of the day.
The employee is frequently required to interact with the public and other staff.
The employee is exposed to infections at a greater risk than the average person.
Occasionally the employee may be required to be outdoors for a short period of time, and therefore subject to varying weather conditions, for purposes of accomplishing the essential functions of this positon.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
